Welcome to the First Baptist Church of Boca Grande's website. Our church was established in 1911 at the corner of 4th Street and Gilchrist Avenue on the beautiful Florida island of Gasparilla, in the village of Boca Grande. Railroad laborers and the local labor force constructed the building. The original steeple is still in use and houses the bell that was donated from one of the old railroad steam engines. The adjoining fellowship hall, named for D. L. Moody, a famous American Evangelist, suffered destruction by fire and was quickly rebuilt to its current beautiful condition.
